The Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the official name of the country one usually knows only as Vietnam, is part of the Indochinese Peninsula. Bordered by China in the north, and Laos and Cambodia in the west,it has a long coast line with many beaches. Population and economy are both growing fast these days and countries like Thailand look at this development with some envy and fear for their own economy.
Tourism in Vietnam is also on the increase. What was a destination only for the adventurous is now a major destination.
